Contemporary interior design
Contemporary design reflects what is current: softer curves than strictly modern work, mixed textures, and room for art and confident accents. It moves with the times rather than following one fixed rulebook.
What defines contemporary interiors
- A blend of curved and straight lines
- Mixed textures such as fluted panels, stone and fabric
- Neutral base with a confident accent colour
- Statement lighting as a focal point
- Open, flowing layouts
- Art and decor used as features
